Today in metro DC was gorgeous… until The Deluge began (with its twin brother tagging close behind). It was during the first of the Twin Torrents that I met Señora Helia. I was one of about eight or ten people hiding out from the storm beneath the portico at One Discovery Place. She was a cute old lady, wrapped in her wispy, colorful scarves, long black dress & trench coat, plus two backpacks and a giant purse.
